Senior Pastor Ken Clowdus

Pastor Ken Clowdus is the founder of CCC and has been the Senior Pastor for over 25 years. He has a Shepherd's heart and has shown a great love for people - whatever their ethnicity or circumstances: rich, poor, physically or emotionally challenged, etc. He treats all the same. He prays for all the people in the congregation and is truly concerned about their welfare. He visits people, listens to problems and looks past idiosyncrasies to the heart. He is a pastor's pastor in that other pastors and evangelists seek his counsel.

He believes the Word of God with his whole heart including the work and gifts of the Holy Spirit. He seeks the face of the Lord and wants to receive all that the God has to give and encourages the congregation to do the same. As God leads, he endeavors to equip the body of Christ at CCC to enable us to be doers of the Word in order to reach a lost and dying world for God. His ministry shows that he is a God chaser. He prays constantly for Revival and an outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon our church and the city of Covina. This church has caught his vision and we have been praying, marching, fasting and believing for that Revival. He is a fervent prayer warrior and CCC is a house of prayer because of it.

Pastor Ken is a man of faith and walks in what he teaches. But he also has a humble heart and will confess to the congregation about his short comings. He always wants to give all the credit and glory to God for what the Lord has done here at CCC. He talks a lot about Jesus' teaching about the importance of being a servant; and he has been known to serve meals at different functions. He helped remodel the church and does carpentry and repair work as is needed.

Sandy Clowdus is a tender hearted and loving woman of God. She is quiet but very strong in the Lord and has been a solid support and encourager for Pastor Ken. She loves to provide a warm and beautiful home for her family and is a gracious hostess. She also is head of the Nursery Department at the church.

Pastor Ken is a great leader and sets a wonderful example of how to strive to follow Christ in being loving, compassionate, giving, forgiving, hardworking and humble.

Church Evangelist, Dennis Ponce

Dennis Ponce has been our Church Evangelist for about a year. He is very bold and outgoing with a genuine love for people. He is dynamic and someone who wants to get things done. He is open to the Holy Spirit and the current move of God that takes us outside the walls of the church into the community to reach people for God and to help those who are in need. Dennis believes in equipping others in evangelism and he teaches classes so that CCC now has many people on the evangelistic team. He is always encouraging others.

Under his leadership along with Pastor Ken (with direction from the Holy Spirit), we have had a six month period of time renting an apartment and ministering to the people there in that large complex. Bible studies were held, food and clothing were given to those in need. There were many salvations and rededications. It was a very anointed ministry.

Now we have a mobile outreach trailer that we can take out into different areas in the community for the same purposes. Things are happening and the anointing is strong. The Holy Spirit is moving, doors are opening, new ministries are being developed, people are being saved, and needs are being met. God is alive and well in this ministry.

We thank God for Dennis but he gives all thanks and credit to God. Click link below to read the story about how God transformed his life from drugs, suicidality, and mental problems to being the mighty man of God he is today.

Associate Pastor, Tony Paraspolo

Pastor Tony has been an associate pastor at CCC for 9 or 10 years and is in charge of small groups. He also leads several Bible studies, men's fellowship and prayer meetings plus he counsels people for the church on a regular basis. He came from a background of drugs and alcohol but he has been free from those things for 26 years. He says he has peace in his life that only God can give you. He is a man of integrity who deeply cares about others and is well loved by the people at CCC . He is also known for having a great sense of humor. He would be the first one to admit that he is far from perfect but the comparison of the man Tony was before he accepted Jesus as his Savior to the new Tony in Christ is staggering. He gives all the credit and glory to God.

Pastor Tony says, "After 25 years of being single, God has gifted me with the perfect wife for me in Dee." They were married February, 2002 and it is obvious to anyone that this marriage was ordained in Heaven as the two complement each other so very well. Dee is a loving, kind, and intelligent lady who is very practical and down to earth.

Associate Pastor, Mike Stephens

Associate Pastor Mike Stephens has been a Christian for 26 years. He is truly a man of God who has an excellent knowledge and memory of the Word. He is known for being full of the Holy Spirit and on fire for God. Linda is a very sweet, encouraging and intelligent lady who loves children.

He and Linda are in charge of Children's Ministries, (ages 3-12). He has a heart for evangelism of children having grown up himself in foster homes where he was cruelly beaten and mistreated. He says that there was a Christian man who came by and picked him up every Sunday when he was very young to take him to a Baptist Church. Pastor Mike remembers the love of the people there at the church and that memory has stayed with him his whole life. He says it was like coming out of darkness into a warm, lovely light at that church.

Pastor Mike also has a heart for those that are down and out. He ministers once a month at skid row downtown L.A. at the mission there. Many souls have been saved due to that ministry. He also ministers at Charter Oak Mental Hospital twice a month and San Dimas Sub Acute Care Unit twice a month. He leads a Bible study on Tuesday nights and Tuesday morning prayer. He is talented musically and plays guitar, sings and leads in praise and worship at times.

Praise Team Leader, Rick Hoover

Rick Hoover has been a Christian since 1976. He has been our Praise and Worship Leader for five years. He plays guitar and Kathy is one of the Praise singers. He says that he has an overwhelming desire to usher our congregation into the very presence of God. He feels that our church is on the right track of where God wants us to be and what God is doing in the body of Christ. Our Praise Team really blesses us so much. There is a freedom here to worship God in song and dance as well as to kneel before our Lord at the altar (all done in an orderly manner). Rick is remarkably faithful in his ministry and will be at church whenever called upon, if at all possible.

He says that it was prophesized over him many years ago that God would use him mightily in music. At the time, it seemed impossible, but right after that word from the Lord, God started a progression of events that led him into music ministry and God has kept His hand upon him and Kathy ever since.

Rick and the Praise Team minister to the inmates at Chino Prison the first Sunday evening of each month. They report that the prisoners really enjoy it and stand outside waiting for them to get there. It means a lot to these seemingly hardened men. Rick and Kathy say that the prisoners get teary eyed at times as well as members of the Praise Team. He says that they always give an altar call and, over the years, there have been hundreds of salvations.

Rick and Kathy have a strong marriage today. They say that the hard times strengthened them spiritually. And a good sense of humor helps. They are very dedicated to the Lord, to each other, and to this body of believers here at Community Christian Center.
